If asked, I say I am a teacher – because I hold that qualification.  In truth, I only teach a few times a month now as my professional work is focussed on safeguarding children in schools and beyond.

Sometimes, I feel more like an actor because I spend all day in different roles.  A wife, a mother, a professional, a friend, a gym-addict, an espresso lover…..and many others I can’t think of just now.   I haven’t listed writer because I don’t think I am one officially, but I do love writing and I have stories to write.  I hope that through writing, I can come out of all the other roles for a little while now and then, and be myself.

And be okay with that.
